I’ve made it to the gate. about an hour away from leaving the country for a while. both mind and heart seem to be in overdrive right now, but I know everything will be fine. it’s been a really special couple of days with Nonna and I’ve treasured beingback at mum’s home, even if only briefly. I missed my brothers though - I’ve never been there without them until now. so I snapped a pic from the mantelpiece before saying goodbye to my grandma and her crazy little bird. 
I already miss everyone so much. but I’ll be seeing my beautiful Italian family very soon, and I know I am truly lucky. have a great day << x
